“A person's a person, no matter how small.”
- Dr. Seuss
Our Discoverer program welcomes 10 children, aged 3 months to 18 months. The program is designed to help your little discoverer develop a sense of trust and autonomy, as well as encourage exploration and learning within a loving and nurturing atmosphere. The ratio within the classroom is one educator for every three children, so you can rest assured your discoverer is getting full, personalized care.
Our primary goal for each Discoverer as educators is to provide an environment where our Discoverers feel safe and welcomed. Together within the Discoverer room we focus on:
Creating a home-like environment.
Planning experiences that are for a variety of ability levels and assist in preparing our Discoverers for their move to the Adventurer Room.
Providing language development through the use of sign language and word reinforcement.
Providing tools for our Discoverers to begin walking and engaging them in healthy risk taking.
Providing opportunities for our discoverers t o transition to the Adventurer room
It is our intention that every Discoverer learns and grows within our room, which in turn assists each and every Discoverer in their transition to the Adventurer room and in their individual growth and development.
